SRUP Introduction:SRUP is upgraded based on the accumulated production experience of Cross helically wound steel wires reinforced-polyethylene composite pipelines (SRCP) commonly used in fire protection engineering and water supply engineering in China.
Jiangsu Shuangteng Pipe Industry Co., Ltd. is a professional SRCP manufacturer. It developed SRUP based on SRCP. SRUP does not have corresponding Chinese national standards or American standards.
It has only been in China for four years and has not been selling well in China due to its complicated production process and high cost.

In China: Traditional steel wire wrapped HDPE (SRCP) pipes are used for water supply and drainage, fire engineering, and chemical water transportation; however, UHMWPE pipes are used in projects with large wear and tear, such as tailings transportation and river dredging. Therefore, no company has been able to integrate the market resources of the two to develop and produce SRUP in recent years.
The actual production and distribution of SRUP is jointly produced by Shuangteng Company and Eastern Company.
Because Shuangteng Company is a manufacturer specializing in the production of HDPE and wire-wound HDPE pipes, you can see that they only have one UHMWPE pipe production line in Zhangjiagang, which cannot meet the production requirements of long-distance pipelines.
The production of UHMW-PE pipes requires high temperature, high pressure and slow production, so a large-scale UHMW-PE pipe manufacturer is needed to undertake the production of SRUP lined core pipes (UHMW-PE).

Thickness deviation, all positive deviations
The wrapped steel wire is supplied in accordance with the product performance requirements of GB/T32439-2015 "Wire Mesh Reinforced Polyethylene Composite Pipe for Water Supply", SY/T 6662.1-2022 or CJ/T537-2019 "Multi-layer Steel Wire Wrapped Modified Polyethylene Wear-resistant Composite Pipe". The outer layer is made of new HDPE material, which meets and exceeds ISO standards
Since there is no national standard for SRUP, it can be customized according to the actual needs of customers in most cases.
Customize the thickness of the UHMW-PE wear layer
The specifications in the table are SRUP for two layers of steel wire.
As the pipe diameter increases, the maximum pressure it can withstand decreases.
The wall thickness of the thinnest part of the UHMW-PE inner layer shall not be less than 1/3 of the minimum wall thickness of the pipe.
The wall thickness of the thinnest part of the UHMW-PE inner layer shall not be less than 6.0mm.
Since there is no national standard for SRUP, it can be customized according to the actual needs of customers in most cases.

Main connection methods
SRUP, different connection methods can be selected according to the pressure and site environment.
If the pressure is around 2-4MPa, or if it is inconvenient to connect electricity on site, you can use steel frame flange sleeves welded at both ends and connect them with loose flanges.
Its connection method can refer to HDPE pipe (cannot be hot-melt butt-welded). If there is no pressure, you can use electric fusion sleeve directly; if the pressure is low, you can use steel skeleton electric fusion sleeve directly. The operation steps are the same as HDPE pipe.

Common performance indicators
The ore from the carnallite pool and potassium mixed salt pool of the 1.2 million tons of potash fertilizer project of State Investment Xinjiang Lop Nur Potash Co., Ltd. is cut by the carnallite water mining machine and the potassium mixed salt water mining machine, and the slurry is collected by the slurry pump of the water mining machine, sent to the dock booster pump station through the slurry floating pipe, and then pressurized by the dock booster pump station, and sent to the dehalogenation section concentrator of the processing plant through the long-distance pipeline of the dam.
The conveying slurry flow rate is 1300m3/h, the weight concentration of potassium mixed salt slurry reaches more than 25%, the weight concentration of carnallite slurry reaches more than 30%, the maximum particle size of the recovered slurry is no more than 4cm (before the booster pump inlet), and the content of large particles in the slurry is 5-10%.
It was installed in October 2022, and after one year of operation, it was disassembled and measured in October 2023 to verify that the wear of its ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene core tube was about 1 mm at 2 meters from the pump outlet, and less than 1 mm at 15 meters from the pump outlet.
